She is 11 days old today, I could never get her to take a bottle but she will take replacer from a bowl. She was acting fine yesterday and last night when I checked on her. This morning she had had the runs bad, huge mess all over her and her little pen. You can tell she just doesn't feel good. Couldn't get her to take replace this morning. I'm still fairly new to this, we have a2 yr old, 2 that are 2 months and this one. She did get a taste of alfalfa, could that have done it?

too young for alfalfa, it is too high in protein and can give em the runs. Probiotics and 1/2 cc baytril IM.

I'd keep trying different nipples to get her on a bottle also.

yep need her to keep hydrated..........dehydration kills fawns fast.......might want to take a stool sample to your vets too.........i would keep trying her on the bottle.....cover her eyes when you are giving her the nipple and stimulate her bun with a wet cloth at the same time this sometimes will get a difficult fawn to take the bottle.......try a regular baby nipple .....sometimes they work better than others.......but she definitely needs hydrated.....needs some electrolytes in her.....

I thought of the fecal, I'll take some to work here In a few and run for parasites and give some to the micro ***** as well. I've tried simulation aswell. She is acting as tho she feels better now but still haven't gotten her to take anything.

Give her 3 cc of Vitamin B complex in the thick of her back leg (in the muscle)...............It will stimulate her appetite and help make her hungry! Best of Luck!

Had one the same way. Bowl but No Way No How was going to do the bottle!! COVERED HER EYES....TRIED SEVERAL NIPPLES...Then one morning I put the nipple in the side oh her mouth and BINGO........She's been on the bottle ever since. All good advice from everyone that has replied. B Complex and Fresh Dirt Maybe some Pedialyte in a bowl. But for sure get that sample in. Make sure you don't have to get rid of some parisites. We have had some fawns loosen up but it was heat related. Several people I have talked have the same problem. IT'S HOT EVERYWHERE!!!

I would try 2cc Albon and some 5g of electrolyte paste for three days. Clear up the runs. If you can run fluids i would do that too.

I just called doc. He have her a shot and some oral med. Her stool is better and she has been up took some milk via syringe a couple different times and water same way. Thanks for all the replies appreciate them all. I'll be hanging out around here a little more often I think. :)
