I have a 3 month old fawn who is very sick. She was fine Saturday then started to go downhill fairly quickly. Not eating on Sunday and then unable to stand up and walk around yesterday. We have to force her to take her bottle. Her symptoms are staggering, uncoordinated movement, head bobbing, her eyes look like they are bulging out of her head and she has a slight crackle when she breathes. That’s a newer symptom so I’m not sure if that’s from me forcing the medicine down her. I have been giving her banamine, electrolytes and b12 which I read on here, and then I started giving her antibiotics that were prescribed for a foal. She’s still pooping and peeing, there is mucus in her poop but it is solid. Any ideas what could be wrong with her I am starting to worry if it could be a disease? Thanks
Has anyone else dealt with this before????
