Hello From the hills of West Virginia,

I’ll start by saying I am not a farmer, my husband and I found and orphaned fawn laying next to dead mom two days ago, she was taking bottle and being active for short periods of time after fed, at the time I didn’t know you where supposed to stimulate the hind after or while feeding but she was still going to the bathroom fine 1 and 2, a few hours ago I went to feed her again and she is now so lethargic she can’t even stand. I took her temp it was 97.5 I put warm bottles and rice socks to bring her temp back up. She has diarrhea so I stopped the formula and started with goats milk instead she’s drooling some and I currently live in a very rural area where I cannot take her to the vet until later today I also do not have a phone. Any advice on what else I can do for her?

over-feeding will kill a fawn faster than under-feeding will. whole milk from the store, warmed up is enough for them.
