Whats best , putting site barrier on the inside or out side of the fence ?

We try to put it on the outside and sandwich it on both sides with treated 1"x2"x8' but we avoid using shade cloth around our buck pens.

OUT SIDE. if it becomes lose it will not be flying around ( in ) the pen . i dont know about this hole ( site barrier ) thing , seems ( my ) deer want/must see whats on the out side , just my 2 cents

Thanks for the info . I was just considering putting it up on a perimiter fence that is next to the road .

I have known of several farms that have lost deer to cloth balled up inside the stomach. Beware is all I am saying.

I think this happens depending on what kind you buy. I bought some from Ebay and it will unravel like pulling the string on a feed bag. The shade cloth that Henry sells wont do this no matter how much they chew on it.

I spent several long and hard days this summer with some buddies hanging shade cloth, all to have holes and rips all over through it from outside bucks during the rut this year. Dont believe it's worth waisting the money or the time to put it up, all my deer want to do is be where there isn't any cloth. They are definetly nosey animals and like to see whats going on around them.

Thanks Todd for the kind words about my product.

My pleasure Henry. I believe you have the highest quality products out there. I would also like to say that every time that I have talked to you at your booth at the auctions or on the phone you have taken the time to make me(just another small deer farmer) feel like i was your #1 customer. You are the kind of people that i will always take my business to. Keep up the good work and thank you.

On the torn shade cloth, Im not sure what is different about our setups but im not having these issues. each one of my pens does have areas that dont have shade cloth up and the bucks do hang out there more this time of year. If a dog or coyote would see them thru these open areas the deer would go to another area of the pen where they couldnt be seen. unless I do start having problems I will have Henrys shade cloth on the perimeter of my pens.

We used Henry's shade cloth. Great product! As far as deer go we have a tame herd raised around kids and dogs they were calm before i put the cloth up. After having it up its calmed them down even more. They use every inch of the pen now. They walk the fence line, lay up against it in the summer and when the winter wind blows. Bottom line they seam happier and less stressed.
