When your button bucks have bigger buttons, is that a good sign that they will be good yearlings? How accurate is this? I wonder how big we're the buttons on some of the big boys out there, X Factor, Max Factor, Fear Factor, Ballistic, Texas Tea, Big Red ect. ect. Would be cool to know!! Thanks! Charlie .

Some say yes, that big buttons mean big antlers and I'm sure that it is true most of the time. But we had a 309" buck at 3 years old this year and Randy and I swore up and down that buck was a doe fawn all that winter and it was tagged wrong until he started to grow his yearling antlers in the spring...no bumps at all! I remember well as it was discussed all winter. So I say...not true all the time because I saw the proof grow in the pen this summer :)
