skunks

We have a family of skunks that have moved close by the pens moma and 5 babys

what should I do or will the move away. I just dont want to get to close

once the babies are born, I don't believe they den up so to speak. They will move on, but not too far if they are finding food.

The worst about skunks is that they eat your feed; otherwise I've never had any trouble. I've busted several without getting sprayed (I kind of like them but don't know what disease they might carry). One time I left the tractor in a pen for 3 weeks and went out to shred a few pens one afternoon and realized there were 3 skunks shading themselves under the shredder when I turned on the PTO...that's the only stink I've ever had over it. Killed one, wounded another, and the third was untouched. Did you know that an adult skunk can squeeze through a 3x3" hole in the fence? I saw it happen!
