looked at some deer at a guys farm today . He has a few he wants to sell , and i noticed that some of the does had really small ears . Is that a trait of some sort or what .?

never heard of this before....are these animals of good genetics? Are they DNA'd? If thay don't look right or can't be proven they are who they are I wouldn't buy them. there are too many deer out there right now that you can great deals on and they are of very good quality.

Hey Randy has been working on a research article for this very same topic. The plan is for it to come out in the next issue of Deer Tracking. Just a heads up, on the farm he has studied there is no indication that linebreeding is a factor or that it in any way is an indication of poor health or poor quality. The animals are of good genetics and thoroughly DNA'd and out of some of the top line genetics.

If you need any futher information before the article comes out, give Randy a call.
