Still born fawn

We had a mature doe deliver a still born fawn last night. She still has some afterbirth hanging out and we suspect there might be another fawn or fawns inside, but not sure what to do next??

Is it possible that she could still deliver live fawn?

Should we just wait and see what happens?

Should we knock her out and try to deliver the fawns?

First time we've been faced with this.......appreciate any advice you could give.

Wait and see what happens. If something is still hanging out of her this evening you will probably have to sedate her and call your DVM. Your doe will be laying down a lot today and stretching her neck straight out and pushing if there is another fawn dead or alive. It is ok for them to walk around with a fawn partially out. They do this to change the fawns position so they can finish pushing them out.

Good luck

If she pushed out after birth then I would say she is done, if so hit her with draxxin for a couple days in case of infection, like bell said wait and see if she is done pushing , is it her due date or is she early?  It is possible what your seeing is another sack trying to come out! be very observant of her till this is over!  Good luck!
