Hey y'all. Well, as we continue to rush around preparing for our NADeFA trip we have been thinking of possible stops along the way. We would like to stop in at a number of deer farms if we can, but also if you know of any events or interesting sights to see that our boys would enjoy, please let us know. That way we can plan our route with some memorable stops. Your help or advice would be appreciated.
The plan is to leave Northern SK on March 10th- that gives us 1 week to get to Toledo OH. We plan to travel through the midwest (possibly but not confirmed- ND, MN, WI, IL, IN to OH) to swing south (to avoid Chicago- Sask drivers in Chicago are not appreciated!!). Remember, our highways are back-roads compared to your interstates- Please don't lead us on any 7 lane interstates!!
Trip home will be very quick to make it for oldest son's 16th birthday. Leaving OH March 21 (Sunday), heading home through MI. (OH-Saskatchewan in 4 days.)
Suggestions? Learning experiences for our boys (ages 14,10)? or deer farms or ranches? We will not be able to stop at all places, but if you are on our route and time allows we sure would like to stop in.
(one of my favourite surprise stops was happening to drive by the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum! Cool for me, not so much for the boys!)
