Red Ridge Whitetails has developed a vaccine over the past few years that is showing very promising results in the prevention of Pneumonia, foot root, and lump jaw caused by Fuso-bacterium and A-pyo. In addition we have incorporated 4 E-coli strains specific to whitetail species. All sampling sets have been done at Red Ridge Whitetails in conjunction with Dr. Weiss and the PADLS lab at Penn State. This vaccine is made at Newport Labs.

If you are interested in getting this whitetail based autogenous vaccine please contact me for information. Bottles come in convenient 50 ml bottles and are priced at $150.00 per bottle with free shipping in the state of PA.

This vaccine has reduced adult mortality on my farm greatly. Moreover, fawn mortality year over year after implementation of our protocol using this vaccine has gone down by over 80%.

This is the cheapest insurance policy I have found to take care of a variety of needs for my animals.

There is not another vaccine on the market that is comparable in its effectiveness or price.

Safe for fawns, pregnant does and bucks too.

Josh,

Does it have to be boosted? or one dose?

What is cost/doses?

If given to Preg. does, will the fawns pick-up anti-bodies?

Can you vaccine day old fawns?

Do you have to give it annually to whole herd?

Yes it has to be boosted. Never heard of a one dose vaccine. That would be great though.

Two shots must be given 2-6 weeks apart with a shot given once a year following that. (I am given at least two times a year)

50 ml bottles have 25 doses currently at a 2cc dose volume- $6 per dose...From June of this year forward dose will be made for 1cc applications. Great for darting bucks!

It is best if given to pregnant does and now is the best time. The fawns will get elevated levels of anti-bodies.

Yes it is safe to give to day old fawns. I did all of my fawns on day one and then caught as many as possible at 14-16 days old for a booster. (That was fun)

Yes it must be done annually. Over time you will find pneumonia issues become less and less. That was the main reason I made it.

I wanted to update everyone on our vaccine we have added a few new features. We now have coverage of Pasturella and Mycoplasma.

We have also reduced the shot size down to just a 1cc volume.

I have been getting some questions on how the product is packaged and pricing.

Bottle size is 50cc

Dose size is 1 cc

Dose cost is still $6 per dose

Can you dart your deer with it.

I clicked on the flyer above, and it says Sub-Cu or IM, so should be able to be darted.

Sounds promising!

It is able to be delivered via dart. This was one of the reasons we went to the concentrated 1cc dose, down from 2cc. I do all my bucks with darts.

Thanks for all who have ordered. We do have a small quantity left... We look forward to a bright and healthy future for the cervid industry.

Josh..if we give to fawns as part of their newborn shots is are the other things we wouldnt need to give? I assume we could skip Fusogard. Is there anything else it would cover? We give them Fawn Paste, Bo-Se, Fusogard and Rota

do you think the vaccine may work for mule deer

I believe it was used on a mule deer herd last year. I will get some specific's for you. I do believe the isolates we have in our vaccine have application for all cervid species as well as other ruminants. We are also sampling a large herd of Elk this year. I should have some data on that this fall. Should be interesting!

Erviau,

I was the one who used it on the mule deer.  I'm 100% satisfied with the product.  My mule deer fawns had a Ecoli problem at 3 days old for the last four years.  I gave two shots to all my adult mule deer does and a shot at birth and one later on the fawns.  I saw no Ecoli last year in my mule deer fawns.  I had one of the best years on mule deer fawns which I have raised for thirty years.  When you put 280 inch mule deer semen in making those fawns you want them all to live.  I did the same shot program on my mule deer does this year and hope my results are the same.  I also used it on my elk with the same results and did reccommed it to my friend with the big elk herd as he had some calf problems with Ecoli last year.

I also used it on my sheep as I make Rocky Mountain bighorn hybrids.  I have 60 lambs on the ground and did give it to them at one week old.  So far no problems with any disease in the sheep.

thanks for the answer Jack , I will see if we can apply this product , we raise our deer in a 200 acres area not in pens so as you can imagine it is very hard to vaccinate unless you use your dart gun

we are new in the bussiness , I see a lot of information on whitetails deer farms, but is hard to find information on mule deer farms , do you think you can help out with this

Ernesto,

There are not many mule deer farms in the U.S.  They are really ten years behind genetically what the whitetail farms are making as far as antlers.  I see you are in Mexico and you have some good mule deer breeders there.  Email me and I will put you in contact with them.

Pm me your vets name and info. I will do some digging on my end and see where we are at.

Just as a reminder orders are filled on a first come basis and they are filling fast.

With all the success stories we have received from fellow farmers it has really hit home how good this protocol is. As our industry continues its evolution we too need to continue refining our management processes to become lean and profitable.

The best money I believe I have spent thus far is on Cervid Specific vaccine and the protocols we have tailored around it.

Please give me a call to discuss custom vaccine delivery scheduling for your farm!
