Here's a new contest to see how many varmits are being "controled." ;) If you can remember how many you have gotten since the first of the year, include them. The list would include yotes, *****, dogs, or any other "pest." Don't need to say how they were exterminated, but you can if you want to. No prizes...only bragging rights that the winner is the top terminator. I'll start it off....so far in the past month I have live trapped 4 *****....none of them have come back!

Called in and shot eight coyotes, two ***** and one bobcat. Shot 3 dogs for being around my pen. I can't find anymore coyote tracks around my pens but it has been fun to hunt them.

the saskatchewan government offered a $20 bounty on coyotes this last winter over 20,000 bundles of four paws were turned in, deer farmers now have full coverage through Saskatchewan crop insurance for coyote caused deaths .... if a coyote causes the death of you deer you get paid fair market value for that specific deer

2 yotes, 8 *****, 5 skunks, 4 armidillos, 6 squirrels, 1 opposum. Still work to do though.

;)I turn on a light and three sets of eyes... BOOM!!! and two sets scamper off. Flashlight goes out. Five minutes later turn light on two sets of eyes... BOOM!!! one set runs off! Five more minutes later turn light back on and see one set of eyes... Can you guess what happened next?;) Next morning I find three ***** with lead poisoning in that same location. Imagine that!

I don't know I can legally say. Lets just say the varmint population in our area has gone WAY down!! If Paul wants to give the numbers I'll let him tell ya. Like I said WAY Down!!!

By the way, those Gammo Whisper pellet rifles are AWESOME!!!!!!

Hey no offense guys, but this is not something to brag about. There are many other people who read these forums that are on the other side of the fence from us. I too have removed my share of problem critters, it is extra work, utilizes more of my time and I don't like doing it. It is something that just has to be done and not broadcasted. Russell I don't think anyone would mind if you delete this post. Thanks Jeff

I believe god has a place for all living creatures. Some of these are known as rodents, critters, pests or varmints which ever you prefer. God also has a mission for me and that is critter control. So far this year I have relocated 206 small grey fury ones, 9 medium fury ones with striped tails, 1 pretty red one with a white tipped fury tail and 2 that looked a lot like a opossum. I relocated them to a small town called heaven. Some of us have earned our nick name.:D

Sorry I couldn't help myself I just went out to feed the deer and "oops" 207 small grey fury ones.:D

Relocated 1 pine squirrel this morning....don't think I can find a couple hundred more!

Brett when we miss we keep those kind of hunts to our selves. I'm sure the sights got bumped, sun in your eyes or something.:D I see you are from Alabama. I love Gunnersville lake I shot the world record Grass Carp down there in a tournament a few years back. You guys have got some big fish down there.

24 ***** last summer, 5 'possums...this year so far 4 *****, one possum. Let's see some pics!? Oh, and if flies count, I've nailed 243,119 so far. Don't question it-I counted them three times!

I try not to kill animals if I don't have to...buuuut...there are times when relocation just doesn't work.

Live trapped and drowned one **** after she returned within 24 hours of being relocated... relocated her 4 babies which I removed from the wall of the barn 2 days later (didn't know she had babies or I would have relocated them all off the property). Hope they lived...but I highly doubt it.

Killed one groundhog after it got caught in the kill trap and didn't die...that was a pretty brutal death so I won't go into detail. Plus that one still bothers me.

Killed a few moles in the yard... currently trying to catch yet another **** living in the barn, 2 live traps set but so far all I caught was our new abandoned kitten earlier this morning that's decided to call our barn home.

Also trying to get rid of numerous groundhogs under our barns...any ideas? Relocation doesn't work, plus it's a pain in the *** to get them to actually enter the live traps without them setting them off first...kill traps work (usually...), but we have barn cats that are semi-friendly and we don't want to find one of them dead in the traps...boss' wife would strangle me. Boss says to pour diesel fuel in the holes and cover it up...sometimes it works, but this year, they just dig it right back out like the smell doesn't bother them.

I've moved this to the Members Only forum. The postings certainly don't bother me as I have been guilty of similar activities. However, we probably do have some visitors that will be offended.

I agree with Russ, Members Only forum is a good place for this. I think it's interesting to read the variety of varmits that everyone has issues with in different parts of the country. I don't have specifics but we are continuously ridding the place of bobcats, coyotes and badgers...the badgers are the most plentiful (64 in 3 months a few years back). Every once in awhile there's a red or grey fox thrown in there and of course...ALL rattlesnakes are disposed of. ;-)

You have badgers in West Texas? I've never even seen a badger, but I can guarantee you it'd be dead in 2 seconds. If it's not a deer or an exotic it's gettin a bullet real quick ;)

Ive cut my feed cost in half in the last two months. Started "culling" the tree rats and chippys. well over 100 in two months. Where do they keep coming from?
