Just a little more info on my grandson he is 11 years old shot his first doe last year, afterward he said ( Pawpa I feel a little sad about shooting that deer )
I told him it was ok to feel that way but he was going to use the deer to feed his family and I told him if he did not want to hunt I would understand.

His reply was oh no, next year I want to shoot a buck, I am a retired Police Chief and I retired due to two heart attacks while on duty, my hunting days are coming to a close but I want to start him off right.

The land that me and my father hunted on for over 26 years has now been leased and I cannot afford to pay the price to hunt a tiny woodlot each year.

Guess I am going to need to expand my search area to a preserve in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, with 4-5 hour drive. We only have one day to hunt so we don't need a lodge, looking for a reasonable 8-10 point buck
