I also agree completely and discussed it with them. We had the cover and had to work our tails off and try to get pictures the night before the deadline. We also couldn't use any pictures of a couple of our bucks because they were still growing. We just used last years pictures. I didn't like doing that because it wasn't noted in the listings.



Overall I really like the idea and the way it worked. Everyone was a huge help.



But I think a 2-3 week later deadline and publication would really help. And by the way Roger, its not really how they start, its how they finish!

i agree with a later date as well my deer have grown since then as well id say they had 3 1/2 weeks of growing from my picture

Hello all, Elam Lapp Jr here. I have read all of you comments and really appreciate all the feedback. i am down at the TDA and have been reading through the concerns with Watch Em Grow. i agree with what you are saying and we are going to do all we can to move the date back for next years magazine. The entire purpose for the magazine is to give everyone a "sneak peak" of what is out there in the industry before everyone makes their final decisions on breeding for the year. That is why we tried to get the magazine out before the TDA, Ohio and PA sales.



TDA is this weekend and the response to the magazine has been incredible. There are tons of people looking at the bucks in Watch Em Grow. We have to decide what is best for the advertisers, get it out for the TDA or not. What does everyone think.

I understand the above concerns, and I agree it would be nice to have 3 weeks extra growth to show, but I have to say that I've already received quite a few phone calls from this magazine alone.

I know that Elam worked very hard to put it all together and there will surely be some growing pains and learning to come, but I really like the idea overall and think they did a great job with it. The fact that it ships out FREE to so many deer farmers is an added bonus.

Keep up the good work Elam and take the above concerns and put them into practice next year!

elam and richard both worked real hard to get this to gether hats off to those guys like you said mike were just giving input for the future cant beat the advertisement for 70 or so dollars to go out to as many people as it did mike texas tea is a great buck your phone should be ring off the hook
