i got a doe thats a bag of bones. has two fawns on her, how soon can i pull fawns off her. i know 10 weeks has been used in the past, anyone done it any earlier? and if so, how did the fawns do? thanks

Dont compound your problems. Why is she thin? She should take care of a pair of fawns with no problem. Is she eating enough? Getting pushed from the feeder-Has a bad tooth and not eating?? Could be a number of things.

There is a reason she is a bag of bones it's not just from the Fawns sucking her down it sounds like something else is going on.
ok, will run her thru the chute. check her out. prob worm and hit her with antibiotics, probiotics while there. thanks
Agree with allenb. Saw a guy run a doe with milk bag throught the chute and it caused mastitis. Lost the doe and the fawns.
its been a week and no visible changes. she is drinking and eating, how much i dont know as she is on feeder and graze, we did chute her, found nothing wrong we can figure. gave her antibiotics , vitamin b, wormer,and probiotics. she has always been in a pen by herself with her two fawns. will keep our fingers crossed an hope for the best.
