West Virginia SB 237 has been signed by Governor Tomblin

Yes, yes yes!!!!!!  So happy for you all.  This was 18 years in the making and you all have fought your butts off to make it happen.  So well deserved.  I'm ecstatic for you all.

Great news. I hope we start seeing a new trend across the nation. Thanks for all the hard work you guys did. It will help us all.

Unbelievable a government person who listened to science on CWD and not the people who just spin it to suit the agenda.  Thank you governor for being reasonable.  Thanks to the people who worked so hard to get this done.

Congratulations Allen!!  Great News!! Hope we can duplicate it in Missouri this year. Nice to see a Governor that sees the boost deer farming will have on the economy and supports small family farms. Glad he looked at the truth and made his decision accordingly.

Congratulations West Virginia! I am so happy for you guys. THIS IS A WIN FOR THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY! Finally a positive step forward, It's very refreshing. Congrats on the hard work from everyone across the board.

Awesome news.. I wrote in my email that he could be the first state to turn this thing around and they would end up being famous..LOL   I guess he listened?

Now if i can just get through to these Ny  nerds to believe that by allowing us deer farmers to release our unwanted 5 year tested animals it would make our state the top book buck producing state in the country. Seems they find that hard to grasp.  Oh well, at least they are talking about antler restricts and 1 buck a hunter per season. LOL.  I am still going to press for the release thing though.

Is it just me or has there been more good news as of late about the deer farming world than there has been bad news.  The tides a turning!!!!

Congratulations! That is very good news! I agree with Four Seasons a lot of good has been happening! I am very excited about deer farming and the future.

Congratulations, and thank you to all those who stand and put up a fight for the industry.

Not to be the downer guy down on great news but you guys still need to be aware of where their Dept Of Ag stands on the deer farming industry! It was after all,,,Our Ag Dept that closed our borders!!! Just be aware of everything!

Congrats to everyone in WV and the industry as a whole!. Great job! Now we work on Missouri and Indiana!

Sam the bill in Indiana will basically limit the preserves to the 4 existing ones and maybe 2 that will re-open that were in operation in the past.  The way it reads one may have to shut down because it has less acerage than the bill calls for.

Maybe I'm in a minority here but I think that this bill is total hogwash.  Why should any business be limited to x amount of operations?  We are not talking about liquor licenses here.  What happened to free enterprise? this is an opportune time to strike the authority of the DNR but some seem to think that you need to throw that dog a bone.
