20ptWhitetail Exchange Announces Premier Sire Program
Whitetail Exchange is proud to announce the Premier Sire Section on the auction site. This new section is specifically designed for some of the top sires in our industry. These bucks may be historical proven producers or the newest and hottest current bucks in the industry. This is not an open category that everyone can list semen in. To get your buck listed in this category, it requires approval from Whitetail Exchange.
There are several unique things about the Premier Sire Section. Below the program is explained in detail so there is no confusion and so you will fully understand this exciting program.
1 – Any Semen listed in this category must be listed by the owner of the buck. This section is reserved for direct from the farm sales. A minimum of 5 straws must be made available for this listing by the owner for a one year period starting at enrollment.
2 – Only the “Buy Out� or “Make an Offer� functions will be used on these straws. There will be no bidding on these straws. An interested buyer will simply hit the “Buy Out� button or will have the opportunity to make an offer to the seller. All offers will be private offers between only the buyer and the seller. Once an offer is received, the seller will have the opportunity to either accept or reject the offer. The buyer has the opportunity to make an offer or buy out one straw or multiple straws.
3 – If the buyout method is chosen, the purchase is instant. If the Make Offer method is used, an email will be sent to the seller with the details of the offer. At the point an offer is sent, the seller will decide whether to accept the offer or decline the offer.
4 - Commissions will be unique to this category as well. The owner of the buck will pay at the time of application a 2 ½% commission on the asking price of the straws. Example – 5 straws at $3,000 each = $15,000. 2 ½% commission is $375.00. Each time a straw is sold, the commission will only be an additional 2 ½ %. This is a total of only a 5% commission!
In the event that all 5 straws sell, the owner of the buck will have the opportunity to choose to relist the straws again and start the program over.
As a starting criteria for the Premier Sire Program, the only straws of semen that will be accepted in this category will be straws that are advertised off the farm at $1500 or higher. As this program progresses, different levels may be established within the Premier Sire Section. Proof of advertising (web site, magazines, sale fliers, previous Whitetail Exchange sales, etc) may be necessary. Whitetail Exchange will use all of its advertising resources to promote the bucks in the Premier Sire Section.
Sexed Semen – Sexed Semen will also need to meet the criteria of $1,500.00 per straw. However, if the owner of the buck is also listing conventional straws (5) that meet the criteria, they may list their sexed straws at the lower price. It will not be necessary to pay the 2 ½ % fee up front on the additional sexed straws, however 5% commission will be deducted at the end of all sales of the of the sexed semen.
Every buck that is enrolled in the Premier Sire Section will receive one free email blast to our 6500 plus email list. This is a $200 value and can be used at the owner’s discretion. The timing and content of this email will be determined and provided by the buck owner. Additional email blasts can be purchased at the discounted rate of $100.
