Dr.Deer is the go to guy!
Tonight though I had an interesting time (4 hours) at one of the meetings be held in Jackson, MO by the Conservation Dept. I will only address the Dr Deer. The Conservation Dept. was planned and pleasant as I walked around each station. When I came to the CWD I just looked at the information and then noticed the sign up sheets . One was for the VETO and one was to OPPOSE the VETO. I was the first one to sign the oppose form as I was one of the the first ones at the event. The gentleman whose name is Charles Anderson, whom I do not like to judge people but would guess he has never hunted a day in his life was the person in charge of this station. He watched as I signed the OPPOSE paper and I am sure looking at me thinking I am a blonde and what in the world am I doing signing this. He asked and I began my answer in a non combative, Christian manner. As the conversation went on he was a bit surprised I believe at the knowledge I had on the issue. I stressed to him that I am most concerned about the misinformation that is being put out to the public. I began stating Dr. Kroll and Sam's information as well as other information I have gathered. He was a bit intimidated as I had answers for it all. When I mentioned Dr. Kroll, he stated that he was his professor in Austin...(this person now works in JC,MO for our state) and I asked if he agreed with his information on this matter. He began to tell me that he does NOT agree with Dr. Kroll!!!!!! It is because he has never done a study on CWD. I persisted and stated that it acknowledges and confers with the studies done over many years on the subject. Also I stated the knowledge of 35 years and him being a professor and studying all of these studies in-depth has no merit in his opinion? He just kept saying he has never done a study himself. I sure hope Dr. Kroll failed this student...in fact could that be the case???? I am so amazed that the State of MO would hire such a person. All he could refer to was WY and it being a control State. I kept saying NO deer have died from CWD and it will NOT wipe our our population and all he do do was to refer to WY. So this is my information tonight on Dr.Kroll.
