I was out feeding this evening and it was just such a beautiful cool evening so I flipped the bucket upside down after dumping out the feed and took a seat to watch the deer coming running in to eat. now, obviously i see my deer everyday but today I really studied them, and i just cant believe how big some of the does are getting in the belly region alreay. i have a chubby 2 year old buck in with the 6 of them and they are now all fatter than him, he was fatter than them all year. Now I am getting even more excited for fawns, I swear i saw a fawn kicking in the side of my biggest does, Only 2 more months to go. Our beef cattle will be haveing their little ones in a week or two as well, I love this time of year, there is no dout the babies are the most exciting thing about farming. Anyone else been noticing some bigger does lately?
