Wormer in Water?

I always use Ivomec Plus. Is there an ''effective'' wormer available for deer that I can put in their water? And...is there anything wrong with darting Ivomec? I understand that it is somewhat thick and that keeping it as warm as possible will help, but is it considered dartable and is it done? Thank you in advance for any opinions/advice. Mark

Unless running deer through the chute, I have always wormed in the water. Last year I was questioning my own method and had only one parasite egg out of 6 fecal samples, so apparently, it is working. The only thing I have to watch out for is weather-it is really important to put wormer in water when there is no rain in the forecast to push the deer to the water trough, and if possible, having deer off water for a half day prior seems to help get it into them quickly.

Mark they have a wormer i use quite often but is a little pricey ! It`s called levamesole . Mixes well but make sure thats their only water source because they shy from the smell .

I like Panacure or Safeguard-both use Fenbendezol as the wormer. I read the label, double the dosage by body weight, put in the amount of water I think a pen will consume in a 24-hour period. Since it is an oral paste, I take an empty pop bottle, squirt in the desired amount, fill halfway with water, shake, pour into the pan, and fill pan afterwards.
