Just started on a deer farm here in Louisiana. So I’m new to the deer farming business. Had 3 fawns born approx 8-10hrs ago and now it’s starting to rain. How will this affect them and their temp? Suppose to rain for next 7 days!! Temperature outside is 73 degrees.

Well it's not fawns but we are lambing now and have 14 lambs on the ground. We will have over 100 lambs this year and will be lambing from Dec to April. I bought 50 head of Texas dalls that were PG and they bred them much earlier than I would so we have an extended lambing season this year...

I need to know a price range for this years babies. I am downsizing in order to upgrade my herd. Was selling my cows and have a couple of people wanting calves to raise to butcher in a year or two. Chuck

We got 2 bucks and 2 doe Typhoon fawns this year that we are excited about. They are big and healthy, hopefully Typhoon throws buck fawns that look like him and doe fawns that produce good.

I wonder if anyone can help me....another local deer farmer asked me to raise his babies this year (using Superior Milk Replacer at his cost). My question is : does anyone know what the reasonable rate would be to have me doing this for him? By the fawn or by the hour? I was thinking 3-5...

when is a good time to start leaving feed or trying too get them to start eating feed and alphalfa. my fawn is about 1 week old
