Both of these deer are 2 year olds. Both the same father but different mothers. The first buck has 4 sisters and his mother at my place. The second buck has no siblings at all.
My question is should I breed for the firsts looks as he...
Wonder if everybody could give your opinion on a situation. I have a doe that breed late. She will drop her fawns in the next week or so. So she was breed in March 2015. We do not have plans to bottle feed and will let them nurse on the momma.
We are not giving her high expectations on...
Has anyone darted does for live breeding with pmsg. I would like to live breed my does earlier than what is normal in south alabama. They naturally breed here late January. If I dart them earlier will they come in heat or do you have to use cidr's?

Ok, guys this may seem like a really stupid question, but we have a doe here on our farm that has not bred the past two years. However, she did fawn with twins her first year, buck and a doe both very big healthy fawns.
Any ideas on what the issue could be, or if there is something we can do...
What would the latest date you would move a doe aied the first of Nov I'm out of town and may not b able to move here till middle of april. She will be moved around 600 miles
OK guys with all the serious stuff we have to deal with I thought I would try to add a bit of fun or atleast a little bit of levity. We currently own Y-29 one of the "supersisters" as they have been named, she is a XL/Dallas/Beuty
doe that has produced Double XL a 240", 26" wide yearling for...
Just curious as to the different opinions on this. He is very large and was a single fawn. Obviously the only reason I'm considering taking this chance is based on his pedigree. Thanks for your thoughts. Sam 270-705-4992
I have a yearling that scores 140+. He has one small kicker but still falls under the 3% so he would go typical in the books. That being said he is a yearling. I was thinking of breeding him with 3 does to get his pass down started. What do you all think.
Ok boys, lets hear it. I'm thinking about picking breeders. Here is a Slammer 2 year old we call Rolling Stone. He has everything EXCEPT width and is probably only 15-17 inches inside. He has a great pedigree and is Maxbo 727 over Kuhns Willy over Bucky. He is designed to be wide and may or may...
Which buck would you breed with and why (pedigrees being equal) the clean 6X6 is a 2yr old and the other is a 3yr old.
I just see alot of talk about breeding for the typical look but when it comes down to it inches pay a lot better.
Does anyone know of any other Mule Deer breeders out there. I know the Mule deer Breeding industry is in its infantcy right now but there has to be some other people out there other than the few people I know. I'm very interested in doing some buying, selling and trading of mule deer...
I'm wanting input about a choice sire for my doe? She is a full sister to Edwin Ropp's Sunriser 350"+ @ 4yr. (Sundowner x Goliath/Mary W-75). I own her mom as well. Sire choices are but not limited too: Bw Sunny ,Sunny Jr.,Grand Canyon. What's your thoughts?- Jason
Bought a doe fawn the year before last. Didn't breed as a fawn. Noticed her being breed 4 different times, weeks apart last fall. No fawns this spring. What are the chances she will take this year? Never had one do this before. Thanks, Wade
