Recently one of the does is eating the fawns tail. All was normal until yesterday that we found 2 fawns without tail and 1 half of it. One of them die and the other two are in treatment. You know what can make this doe do that?

Quick question: why would a deer be eating the bark off a pine tree? There is some old sap exposed. I assume that's what she is after. There are plenty of other food options, so not like she is starving looking for food. I wouldn't think it could hurt her - right?   Thanks
