hay

I am getting ready to buy some hay for my elk. Found some good quality clover round bales. Is clover hay good for elk? It is about 75% clover, 25% grasses. Thanks for any advice.

What do you guys prefer....don't think hay prices are coming down any time soon! Can't find any good "deer quality" alfalfa in Northern MI.....thinking about switching to Chaff....Is it true...no waste?

Does anyone feed cubes exclusively and not hay in the winter time? Can someone tell me how many cubes they go through on how many deer in a given time span? Trying to figure out if I can justify switching to cubes and stop itching with hay.

Has anyone ever used soybean hay for deer, I use to bale forage beans for my cattle, I do give the deer green beans and they seem to like them.

I have about 10 acres of Duranna white clover. Right now it is tall and may have to bushhog. Was thinking about having it cut for hay to use next winter. Has anyone ever done that? Can I do it without hurting the clover field? Thanks!!!! Karl

Just got some wall mount hay racks and was wondering what everybody thinks the best height to install them is. will be putting some in adult pens and one in the fawn pen.
