We had a lot of discussion in "what this industry needs" about raising typicals vs non-typicals. Bell and I were talking today about this subject.
I would like to ask people that raise 50% non-typicals a few questions.
I am not opposed to raising some but want to keep well balanced animals...
Certainly folks are scientifically breeding axis deer, for big and better???
First: do axis do very well with AI?
Second: is there a such thing as a "non-typical" axis?
Third: where can said critters be found?
Ignoring any age or pedigree, which buck would you rather have in your pen as a breeder? (Choose A for the Typical, and B for the Non-Typical.
A discussion will follow after a couple days of polling! :)
