toxicity

I was told today by a woman who had deer for 19 years, that I should not feed my deer too much grain or too much 3rd cutting alfalfa or clover hay right now (winter in Chicago area) because the deer could get Grain TOXICITY if they overeat. Can anyone offer any insight from their own...
