Here are a few of the pictures from Zac's deer hunt on 9-18-09 to 9-20-09.
He went out Friday evening when we got to the ranch and saw 5 deer but none were in class that he could shoot. He was so excited when he saw them and his little brother got to go out with him along with dad and the guide. Zac and Nate (Zac's little brother) were breathing so hard because of their excitement seeing the deer in the woods. Nate videotaped Friday night and Saturday and got very shaky when he would see the deer. I waited at the lodge for them to come back and listen to Zac and Nate tell me all about the deer. They were so excited. Zac went out on Saturday morning and saw nothing, then Saturday night he saw three but again he couldn't shoot those.
Then he went out Sunday morning and wasn't seeing anything. Rick, the preserve owner, came to them and asked how they were doing, then took Zac to a deer that was bedded down. Zac shot the buck right in the neck and got his 11 point buck. It scored 137 2/8. He was the proudest little boy I have ever seen and dad and brother were there to witness it.
We can't thank you enough for making Zac's dream come true to not only be able to go deer hunting, but to get a deer bigger than his dad's and replace it over the fireplace. Thank you so much to Brigid because without you none of this would have been possible and to Rick, Jeff, and Bob for allowing Zac to hunt at the preserve and helping him out and treating us so good.
