Anyone do any ice fishing. Went the first time this year today and it was great. Did not catch anything worth keeping, but it felt good to be out on the ice.

Shelly iave never been but got all the stuff to last year. But every time we were going to go the ice was always too rotten hoping to get out soon. Keep us posted how it goes!
I go as much as possible and love every minute. When every Sunday last winter and can't wait for the ice this year.
that is one thing about the MN weather. Does not matter what it is like, it is always GREAT for fishing. I go year round, but only keep the cold water fish. Can't wait to taste the walleye!!!!

Yeah Shelly I fish !!! As long as I don`t have to wear gloves !! LMAO I love to eat those fish caught through the ice but just don`t like sitting there watching a hole !! LOL

I have been out a few times this year but haven't had much luck. I did catch my biggest pike. It was 33 inches and about 11 pounds.
It was a beautiful day yesterday for the Grumpy Old Man ice fishing contest. My granddaughter who will be 3 years old in June won 1st place for the perch contest, putting $200 into her pocket. Here is a picture of her with her fish. As you can see, she is not wanting to hold it, but will let papa. The next picture is the end of the day. Way to tired to make it home without a little nap!! What a picture perfect day. Could not ask for any better!!!
