Friends -

I have decided to take on a new challenge, and I need your support. I have entered the Mrs. Texas International pageant, coming up on March 13th in San Antonio. I currently hold the title of Mrs. Waller County, and I compete against 27 other women to become Mrs. Texas next month. My plaform for this contest is what I call "My Pet Project" - spay, neuter and adopt.

You all know me in terms of working hard to save fawns, but I have long worked to save lots of animals, especially dogs. I have been a foster home for the National Rottweiler Rescue, I have worked to establish animal control ordinances in Waller County Texas and helped design the Waller County Animal Control Program that went into effect last year, I coordinate with Citizens for Animal Protection to promote adoption days and spay/neuter clinics, I have personally rescued and adopted out over 40 dogs in the last 10 years, I work with several non-profit organizations that support shelters and rescue/adoption agencies, namely Rescue Bank, which is essentially a food bank that supports rescue groups.

My hope, should I win the Mrs. Texas International title, is to promote education of the importance of spay and neuter, to encourage families looking for a pet to consider adoption, and to educate children and adults alike of the importance of choosing the right breed for their lifestyle.

As do all campaigns, pursuing this title costs money. I am selling ads for the State Pageant program book, as well as accepting any donations that can assist me in this endeavor. If you are interested in a sponsorship or ad purchase, please get in touch with me. Ads range from $25 - $750.

Thank you!

So since several of you are asking, here are the specifics about sponsorships and advertising. Thanks to everyone that has inquired about helping out. I appreciate it soooo much!

Sponsorships - any dollar amount, 100% helps me offset expenses like entry fee, travel/hotel, purchase of evening gown and other necessary wardrobe, photography/printing, etc. You get your name or business name mentioned in the State Program, on the Mrs. Texas International website and on my Mrs. Waller County International facebook page as a sponsor. (Please go to my facebook page and become a fan!)

Good Luck lines - $25, you can put a 1 or 2 line wish in the program for me, (Best Wishes to you, Robbie - Love Mom & Dad) for example. About half goes to the program printing cost, and the rest helps me with expenses.

Advertising: the program book is 8 1/2 x 11, full color with about a 5000 print run. Advertisers will also get mentioned on my Mrs. Waller County International facebook page. Most of the ad price is for printing costs, but a portion of each ad does assist with my expenses. And, the contestant that sells the most ads wins a special award at the pageant.

Business card ad $100

1/4 page ad $250

1/2 page ad $475

full page ad $750

You can email me your pictures, logos or camera ready ad art, and then mail payment directly to me.

One other way you can help - go to www.MrsTexasInternational.com, click on Current Contestants, find my name, and click on VOTE FOR THIS CONTESTANT! There is an Audience Favorite award given at the contest, and you can help me win that category. Voting costs $1.00, and that dollar benefits the Heart Associations Go Red for Women campaign.

Thanks again to all of you that are considering this. I truly appreciate it.

Robbie,

I just noticed this post! Sorry I hadn't seen it before. I see it has had ~860 views. I hope those who have gained so much from your advice and coaching return the favor and support you in your bid to become Mrs. Texas. I will be sending a donation to you and hope it will help. I know with all of the folks that you have helped here on this forum, you will probably get a good deal of support. Good Luck! It will be really cool to say I know Mrs. Texas and she is a DEER FARMER!!!!!!!

Robbie had better tell her husband that he better do right. I know there are plenty of deer farmers out there that would love to take his spot. Lol. Good luck Robbie. If you don't get Mrs Texas, you can always move here and get Mrs Alabama.

Thank you Scott! Every donation helps more than you know, regardless of the amount, it all ads up. Just think if all 400+ visitors to this post offered just $5.00 ....... :)

I really appreciate the help!

Richard, if I didn't know better, I'd think you were a flirt! ;)

Robbie,

You have always been very gracious when I asked for advice and I thank you for that. A donation is in the mail. Wishing you the Best!!!

I think Robbie has spent as much time or more than anyone on these forums giving advice to anyone with a sick or injured fawn. Robbie your heart is really into the care and respect all animals should receive from us as farmers. Thanks for your help in the past.

On March 13th, is there a website or television station that will broadcast this event so we can watch you win the title.

Jeff
