Holly snikies!!!!! We still have snow on the ground in spots. We have a couple buck fawns with 2 inches of velvet and i thought that was great.Congrats guys they should be interesting in the months to come!!

Tim, you too? I thought I was the only one! Lol, nice starts, guys, I wish you all the best. Hey Tim, really long time, eh?

I hear ya Bill. I feel like one of the founders on here. Gettin old. Bout as old as having bucks with antlers still on. That really chaps my hide.

Tim,

While I have a few bucks that have started, I also have a couple that are still packing their cutoff burrs. Has anyone tried "the shot" that people are talking about that is suppose to cause them to drop?? Just curious.

Of course it might be one of those special kept secret types of things :p

I haven't tried any, but we should start a club called. The Not In The Loop Club. We could find out info and keep it only to club members. Maybe we could find secret feed recipies, top dressing secrets and under the burr antler sawing techniques. Hey we wouldn't have to worry about them shedding. Of course when we had all the secrets we would have to change our name.

I love the idea of the "Not in the Loop" Club. We could form it, but not ever tell anyone, certainly not have a newsletter or website and keep all members "out of the Loop" That way everyone will feel at home :p lol

I used this shot last year. It's called depo provera. It works in getting antlers to fall off within about 14 days. A 2cc dart does the trick...However, I found there were some side effects in how the antler grew.

Now I only did one buck on my farm, but another farm that I talked to did use it on two of there bucks and it looked to me as it did also have effects on how there antler configuration was.

I will not use it again unless I have to...Same buck that held last year till almost May is still holding this year. He did still grow over 250 as a 2yr old. So who knows.

Hay Tim thanks for the great laughs at the nadefa baseball game.... How many club members does it take to become a gang?????? :)

Even in Sunny Florida we got a few bucks putting on horns. 86 degrees today and tough on these deer with winter coats.

Wouldnt that put you in the loop? LOL

I will start the club. I won't tell you if you are a member that way u will fit in. I will not insert any data into my brain about the club and let Tina run it. I won't tell her what its about that way she could be a member.----Chucker---- Next year its the church steeple. I better work on my pitchin, although both batters hit the ball, both would have been out. My story is this. I once pitched 2/3 inning of hitless baseball in relief of Jarrod Washburn. Another thing is I once belonged to a one man gang. Once the leader got busted it fell apart pretty fast.----------ALERT--------- My Buck scores ZERO today!!!!!
