My favorite bottle-fed doe injured her foot today and I'm not sure what to do for her. At noon she was fine, playing/kicking in a water puddle. When I saw her at 3pm, she was limping badly on a hind foot. There is a lot of brush in the pen, so my guess is a stick punctured her foot. She will bear weight on her tip toes only, and holds it up when not walking. She was last year's fawn, and is not real big, I'd guess about 100 lbs. She also let me walk up to her in her bed without getting up and took treats without getting up. She is very tame, but that is unusual for her. I think I can give shots without tranquilizing, but she won't let me handle her foot at all. I took some pictures. Any ideas on what happened and what to do? Thanks for any and all advice.
