Here are a few King Kong yearlings. Ill try to get pis of the rest of them soon. No Huge stand outs yet but as a group they are all pretty nice. The one in 2nd pic cut his beam off. He was one of the nice ones and it shut him down.

Heath, If I remember right King Kong was not an early antler starter as a yearling either. He had great brows and didn't grow the rest of that huge rack until later in the summer. Quite possibly because he was growing that 275 lb. body of his earlier in the year. How are the bodies on them yearlings out of him compared to the other yearlings on your farm this year? - Joe

We'll get some more pics posted soon. As to Hodags - yes they are the symbol of Rhinelander, WI - a mythical beast that can be found only there! They have many statutes that are all painted and decorated differently around town and a big Hodag in front of the visitor center. www.ci.rhinelander.wi.gov www.hodag.com Here are links to the city of Rhinelander, where you can see a pic of a hodag, and the Hodag Country fest which is a big deal around here.
