Antlers 2011

Congrats to everyone on all the great bucks this year. Looks like this summer is going to be one for the ages. The variety of antler shapes and sizes throughout the industry is amazing. There seems to be a little something for everyone.

Thought I would share this picture I got in an email a couple days ago. This is John Ward and Billy Sage's Energizer. He is Shadow/Rolex/Flip/Maxbo's Sister. What a monster with a loaded pedigree. Congrats to those guys.

Just wanted to say how impressed I am with some of the bucks so far this year.

Will - Ranger's Dream looks incredible. Unreal browtines. That has to be one of the best pedigreed Ranger sons in the country. Ranger/Bucky/Heavy/Pebbles. That is awesome man I'm excited for you.

Mike - Texas Tea looks great. I would have to say that is the best 1/2 Texas buck in the North. He has everything. What an impressive deer. I'm glad that bringing some Texas up North has worked so well for you.

Jim - You must have known a little something when you bought Sudden Explosion because that is exactly what he did. Thanks for putting pics up for everyone to see. That is one awesome looking buck.

Too many good ones to list them all. Congrats everyone. It's fun to watch.

Russ,

I think this is a really good idea. For example you sell 20 swtraws at $2500. After they are all sold, you sell 20 straws at $3000, then 20 straws at $3500. Every time the price goes up, the people that previously bought benefit more on their original investment. What is the price at now off the farm and how many are available at that price?

Todd

Todd, Thanks for asking. We are selling and financing Fear Factor semen for 24 months at a very similar idea as you have suggested. For anybody interested please give us a call. I don't want to hyjack this thread with the details on this offer. I will say I am really enjoying watching Fear Factor's growth the last few weeks. I think he will really be something specail this year.:)

Also, Sam Highway ten's tines can't be beat. Explosion may have the width. Energizer looks big! Awesome is all you can say when looking at Wayne's pictures of X Factor and company. Mike, I said last year on here Texas Tea was the 2 year old to beat for the year. He's off to a great start again this year and yes we all no he's a real late grower. I can't wait to see him in Aug. To many monster bucks to mention but WOW this is fun!

Thanks Jordan. I sure appreciate that. You're right... there are some incredible looking deer so far, and I'm sure there are quite a few that will pop up in the next 2 months also. I hope things are going well for you.

Looks like Texas Tea's mom (Hannah) is going to do it again this year with another Texas Sire... My best yearling on the farm so far is out of Bambi Yardstick and Hannah. He's wider than Tea was as a yearling already. He still has a long way to go for his mainframe, but I sure like the look so far!

I'm thinkin he's gonna need a name soon.

We are gonna do our best to make it down to the TDA, so I hope to see you there.

Chris, your right that is a great pic of him. Tomstone is a stud for a yearling he has a great look and frame and just enough extras.

Thanks Randy, He has a few more extras than I like. But he is seems to be turning out to be pretty nice yearling. I am a straight typical dude, but everybody has a differrent taste. Thats is a good thing, I just hope we can all agree, we do not need another Oboma next year!!!!!!

Lets just stick to everything born, bought, raised and bred in the the USA and we can overcome this somehow.

Hey, here is a picture I received tonight of Cletus. He is owned by Greg Listle and is a 2 yr old Big Sir Son! WOW! A great looking sire owned by a great guy, and deservedly so! Looks like this big boy still has a lot of growing left to do. Greg said he is at least 25 or 26" inside today.

Rolls Royce June 28 2011 still growing strong! I cropped the picture in some so its a little grainy. Couldn't help myself though he looks great in this picture. He reminds me of a cross of Rold Gold and Hardcore this year. Keeping my fingers crossed for a full finish with no damage or infections. He holds his head good right now but I can see he has started to labor a little bit the last few days. I'll post some Rolls Royce yearlings in the comming weeks that should go over 200 this year.... Well if they finish strong of course. Also, for anyone interested there is a straw being auctioned on WE this week.

Here is a link to the bidding action. http://www.whitetailexchange.net/au...it-out,name,138431,auction_id,auction_details

I believe Rolls Royce is one of the best buys going right now and those that jump in now will be happy they did!
