Frequent Flyer. YEARLING

Free Agent over XL over Dallas over Beauty. These pictures were taken 7/26/11. Sorry it has taken so long to post them. Of all the yearlings I have seen this year, this is by far my favorite. Mark has 7 GIANT yearlings out of Free Agent this year. It is not often that you can see such a symmetrical wide non-typical. Also, a couple days after we stopped by Mark had to cut off Free Agent's antlers, they weighed 27 1/2 pounds compared to 24 pounds last year and still with a month to grow.

Thanks for that info.I hope I never need it but it is good to know that we can all work together no matter how small or how big the deer are.

If I ever run across a man that knows everything about whitetail deer/ I willl avoid him at all cost.

Thanks QUOTE=Johnny B;50583]If you need to cut the antlers off this time of year, you can use the latex tourniquets that you would find in a Doctor’s office. The ones that are used to draw blood. Place one of them under the burr of each antler and tie it as tight as you possibly can. Next have a soldering iron hot and ready, I have used the same type of iron used for cattle for burning the horns on calves. These work great! They get super hot, and don’t cool off if a little blood gets on them. Quickly remove the antlers about an inch or so above the burs with a sharp bone saw, have a couple people ready to help with rags. Once the antler is cut off, take the iron and burn the velvet all the way around. Pay special attention to the little nooks and cranny. When I did this I would actually burn the velvet down a 1/2in. You should be able to pop the bands off once your done burning the velvet down. If you see any blood at this point don’t hesitate to use the iron again, and then use blood stop. Don’t be shy with fly spray or anything you may use to minimize fly traffic. Send me a pm if you have questions. It worked wonders every time I did this.

ps. Good luck everyone as this growing seasons nears an end. I hope no one else has to deal with a loss like you and Russ Wayne.[/QUOTE]

Mark Sipes, You got the best deer in the USA. I really dont care what nobody says.

The proof is in the pudding. Thats why I feed XWL Tombstone Vinalla Wafers Every Day. I just am Redneck trying to keep up.

I think it's time to cut too. Better safe than sorry. The chosen one looks way better from the front!!

Update on Big Rig

He broke some bone so we had put him down to fix up....I played doctor and did some sewing to close up as you can see from the pic it was on his left side. The good news is he is doing fine other than the fact he is really struggling to keep control of his head. The true sense of a WOBBLE HEAD!!! He nor Rigid can actually run ....they kind act drunk I guess you would say ...There heads lead them every which way :) We hope to be able to keep his antlers on until done growing but we will do what is best for him. The damage may have been a blessing for him??!!

Lots of great deer everyone!!!!!;)

Thanks to all for the comments ...we have been blessed!

We are selling semen out of him.....only 20 max.

Harry,

That deer is "insane". I love him and his look! Congrats! He looks like he is on his knees a lot. I think you may want to cut him off.

Don't worry about him growing out....Remember as an industry that we are not breeding for score anymore ;)

Good luck with him :)

I've been answering people all day about Level King, Wayne. He was a great deer. Sorry for your and Russ' loss. You guys had a great one. Talked to Russ several times yesterday and I was just too sick to eat supper last night. They say if your deer are laying in the shade peacefully chewing their cud they're just trying to think up a new way to die. They'll also tear themselves up on a beach ball. Heck of a loss but gotta keep pluggin along.

Thought I would give you a sneak peak at a 2 year old we have named Razor's Edge. He shed on April 18th and has been playing catch up all summer. He is still splitting and adding points on.:)

I would have to say my 2 favorite deer of the year so far would have to be Stone Cold and Big Rig but for different reasons as they are not of the same antler style obviously.

Congrats to the producers and to the owners/co-owners of these awesome bucks.

Thanks Guys!!!

Sam I agree his knee look boogered up a bit and look a like they are getting bowed. The broken off antler weighed 7lbs so I have no clue what the antlers weigh.

Roger thanks I kind of like both of them also.

We have a Big Guy son we call Big Heavy who looks pretty sharp also ...he is a true 7x8, 24 inside, Long beams...hes got the look, 300"+ ...hope to have pictures soon

I have been emailed and PM about the semen out of Bi Rig..... we have 9 straws left 4 at 5k and last 5 at 7500.

Thanks all
