Has anyone used the type p darts with flight stabilizers. I am using a excaliber and have never tried them. Do they shoot the same as far as power settings?

Jason, you should not need flight stabilizers if you are using the Pneu-Dart Projectors, only if you are using the dan Inject as Bruce mentioned above.

Bruce, have you tried type C (red) in the dan-inject?

I,have never tried this,it's just a thought.

Whats the chance of pneu-dart making a 11mm dart?

When someone comes up with a "non pressurised" 11mm dart,I'm sure they'd sell a few.

The European pressure darts are ok for controlled situations, but not so safe for wild capture & reaserch.

Most euro guns are 11mm as new. They can be converted, but that leaves the original kit obsolete.

An 11mm pneu-dart would have value & a place in the market,as its the best human safety option for these guns.I think zoos & uni's would pick them up straight away.

Sharkey, Pneu-Dart will not move to the 11mm dart but they do however mare the barrel to fit into the Dan Inject projectors so you can use the Pneu-Dart Darts. In the US Pneu-Dart I believe is the most used projector but I am not sure of other contries.

Cheers Henry.

I love the x-caliber & my old paxarms & use pneu darts 90% of the time.

I now have to keep 150 of 1,2 & 4cc,red & green just to be sure I have them when needed.

We have a new bloke down here doing pneudart so hopefully supply improves.

Dan -inject have had better avaliability than pneudart (not much effort needed) & all the zoos & research facilities seem to have one (11mm).

The pressurised darts are not as safe so as soon as there is a safer alternative it will move. It's hard enough to do health & safety assessments without the risk of darts spraying their contents.

There is a new keen bloke selling dan-inject too.He has a head start over pneudart just on the history, but the pressurised darts are the real concern because of human safety.

I've used the 13mm replacement barrel from dan-inject,it's smooth bore but it will still shoot grapefruit size groups all day with green 2cc pneudarts at 40m.

The x-caliber is more accurate, but the gas adjustment is noisey (the dan-inject is not) & wastes opportunity, especially on wild animals.

It's not the "friendliest" looking dart gun either.lol

Is the replacement barrel for the dan-inject from pneudart smooth bore?

When I read your posts,I often wish we had a bloke as keen as yourself down here.Lets hope these new guys try as hard to help as you do.

Sharkey, thanks for the kind words. Yes the insert barrel is smooth, here is how it is on the web page

Thanks Henry

I've got that bit of kit,I was more hopeful that there was a 13mm rifled barrel for the dan-inject rather than the smooth bore.

Firstly for Bruce, you shouldn't be using the rubber stabilizers on the Pneudart darts in your Dan Inject as it creates to much barrel drag which means you have to use more pressure to project the dart, your options are to either use the C type dart in .5, 1 and 1.5cc the 2cc, 3cc etc C type darts fit to tight in the barrel, a light filling with a nail file will make them fit perfectly. The other option if using the P type dart is to take a pair of needle nose pliers and squeeze the side of the stabilizer, giving it a tiny little "ear" that way the dart will stick in the barrel and no it does not effect the accuracy, and you won't have to hold the barrel upright all time.

To Sharkey I hear that the Dan Inject agent in the USA is looking into getting a rifled 13mm barrel made!!
