I am wondering if anyone has any interesting pictures of any health issue in deer (fawns, does or bucks). We are collecting a variety that we can use for our Ask the Experts column to help other deer farmers who may be experiencing the same things. This is your opportunity to help get a health network going (anonymously if you so choose) which can help others who may be experiencing the same issues.
How many times have you dealt with a health issue and wished you knew who to call who had the same problem. It is a great way to lear n how to save deer without having to do it all from scratch yourself!
In the past we have had broken main beams, hair chewing, foot rot, Necrobacilosis (lumps), foot injuries. But anything that may be of interst to other deer farmers would be helpful.
Please send photos to us by email. If your photo is used, we will send you a free copy of this next fall issue of Deer Tracking.
Thanks!
