Antlers 2013

Bucks are pouring it on now, this is about the peak time of the antler growing year. Matt, Big Bucky is awesome, I am happy to have a doe fawn from him. She will be a good addition to my breeder herd next fall.

Matt,

Looking very nice. Is that your big yearling from last year? Just a piece of advice, if I were you I would reposition that feeder because, if for some reason, that buck gets spooked while eating, he will damage his horns due to the way he is putting his head between the wire and the 2x4.

Ovwdeer, my guess is 32 5/8ths great looking deer im watching the doe fawn on WE from loverboy....

Mick, he is indeed the 185" yearling from last year.

Funny you mentioned the feeder, because guess what I worked on all day yesterday? I built him a whole new feeder setup, lol.

Good eye on spotting that Mick, because I have been watching him the last few nights and the way he had to twist and turn to get his head in and out really scared me, I couldn't take it anymore so I built an 8 X 10' pavilion and put a 8' X 2' feed trough under it. The trough was given to me by my good friend Allen B, and it saved me a few hours work I would have had into building one.

Darren that Heavy Dose looks real good.

Here are a pic of my Blue Steel and High Time15075:020.

This is "Goldmine" our typical yearling that we're kinda excited about. He is poppin' a 6 x 5 frame right now.

His breeding has RDM Gold Bucky Boy top and bottom. His sire is Extra Gold, and his dam is a direct Gold Bucky Boy daughter with a nicely

line bred H10 doe as his anchor.

Thank you Eldon. We'll just have to wait and see how he finishes, but he's off to a pretty good start so far with a nice look:) I also added a pic. of his dad at 2 years old.

Jonathan he is looking awesome! If he is anything like his dad he will do most of his growing in the end of July and August! Very nice yearling!

Mike,

On page 1 of this forum, post number 6, you showed a picture of a 9 month old buck fawn that was off to a good start. I have been patiently waiting for an update of this yearling (picture). We are now on page 42, hopefully, nothing has happened to this yearling that you were so proud of. If possible, I sure would like to see a picture of him because there's a lot of other people posting their yearling pictures. Just wondering why he hasn't been posted yet.

LOL..Kinda been saving the best for last Mick. He is alive and well and although he does not have the paper that some of our Tea,Romeo,Gold Bucky Boy and such buck fawns he is still leading the pack!

Hey Mike,

Glad to hear you got a buck out of your Sudden Change girl. Her momma Yellow #24 gave me triplet Doe Fawns on May 16th out of Sudden Factor. Should be some serious power in those lil' girls!

Here are some more pics from tonight. I ran out of light or I would have got more.

Here is my best buck. I am crossing my fingers that he will be my first 300" buck.
