Amazing! I hope and pray they live. They will be industry changing deer, first ever captive generation of melanistics.

Many of you have inquired about semen from this sire... Price is $500/straw pending October draw. Call me if you're interested. Attached is pic from this morning. He is PA Geronimo/Flees Heavy on top and Loverboy's womb sister on the bottom.

Vince,

Was the doe Tantrum bred to get these fawns closely related to him?? This is suspose to be a recessive gene so she should be related to him in some way if that theory is correct. Just curious on this. Thanks.

VERY COOL!!!

How many does did you breed to Tantrum buck this year??

We did very well on the AI this year so Tantrum only ended up backing up 3 does this year...

Tantrum is unrelated to the doe. Melanism is a recessive gene but can still express itself at any time if that allele is on the chromosome present at the time of conception. If two animals are related and conceive the chance surely increases because of the possibility of both of them having the same recessive gene. It certainly is not necessary that they both have it...

Hope you enjoy the updated photos... I will continue to post them as they grow...!

Wow, we got back from Vince's place and he's got somethin special for sure! Tantrum is hands down the biggest bodied buck I have ever seen he's a monster! His body is so impressive it almost takes away from the close to 300" set of antler he has! Very very special those little guys sure are beautiful!!!

Vince,

Any new pictures of the melanistic buck fawns, sure would be nice to see how they are doing and looking.

Vince,

Could you put on some new pictures of the melanistic buck yearlings please.

I also am very interested to see how they are devolving. I hope both are still alive and well.

Please post pics if you get a chance, thanks Vince.
