Sure am glad when I stuck my neck out in May and said that this was going to be one of the biggest if not the biggest framed yearling ever I didn't end up looking like a fool. Way to go Darren.

Todd your right the deer is alot bigger then the picture show he something to look at that for sure

Darren, what a yearling. I have waited to post on your buck because when I was there earlier I knew he was going to get quite a bit bigger and wanted to see where he would finish, but it looks like he just keeps growing.

I heard thru the grapevine that you turned down HUGE money for him. Way to go. You are a man of your word, and I commend you for sticking to your guns on this one. You know not everyone agrees with your philosophy but as you and I talked about a while back, you have to do what make Darren and his family happy, and not worry about what everyone else thinks. Can't wait to see what he scores with that big open frame, mass, and tine length I am sure he will be right there, if not the largest typical yearling of all times. You deserve it and keep up the good work. I was also wondering what a couple of live breedings like that might cost a man. I have not heard a price yet but who ever gets some should be real proud. We have 2 in the PA sale and they are selling right before the Premier part of the Auction. They should be barn burners!!! Can't wait!

Thanks for all the compliments. Many times in the past 15 years I have wondered how guys grow those huge bucks,I can tell you it is not milk calcium, its not somebodys name.I think it is paying attention to your genetics, breeding for the look you want, taking excellent care of your animals and LUCK!Thanks again. Darren

I look forward to this time of year, all of the bucks from last year show what they did this year and the big yearlings are revealed.I love raising whitetails and my passion is for big framed deer.I dont know what to say other than I was dealt a straight royal flush this year.Redline is an unbelievable speciman by anyones standards, this isnt about promoting the buck. I am thankful for him and I love for people to see him.We have had no less than 75 farm tours this year and we invite anyone to stop by.I havent posted a lot of pictures of him because he is growing so fast.I had to get pictures of him out for the Texas deadline and for brouchures and posters for the TDA.I loked at him today and he has put on 10 or 15 inches since the last pics I posted. I will take new pics of him tuesday for the TDA and post them on deerfarmers.

Can't wait to see what the 2 live covers bring at PA Auction. Should be special. What a frame! All joking aside, what do you anticipate his typical score to be? I guess around 185" maybe 190"? Darren with all of the contest going on maybe you should let one straw of semen out to the person that guess's the closest typical B&C score of REDLINE! Just a thought.

That would be the only straw out in the north and you are not selling it so you would still be sticking to your guns on the no semen sold!
