we have a yearling doe with a bid lump in her throat right in the white part of hair . I will try to get pics but wondering what it might be I went ahead and gave her some Nuflor.

It may be a fusobacterium infection. Pretty common as in cheek abcesses. Sometimes they rupture and drain on their own but it spreads the bacteria. Tetracycline drugs usually work well. Draxxin is approved for foot rot, usually a fuso infection, too. Nuflor isn't as good a choice if that's what it is. You should ask your vet about drug choice and possiblilty of being fuso. A friend had one like yours and it ruptured and drained after he gave antibiotics.
it looked as if it ruptured swelling is gone I will give her a shot of draxxin and I will get some of that tetracycline from the vet

We had one a couple of years ago that was very similar, I got a little larger than that, and I got nervous. We put him out, lanced it on the lowers side, drained it the best we could by squeezing it out the lance, and trying to draw it out with a large needle and syringe, flushed it by injecting the lance with diluted betadine, and gave draxxin. I was completely gone in a week or two. It may rupture on its own, but either way I would consider darting with Draxxin. Why is darting not an option? Not being able to dart really limits your options.

This is fuso. If you can dart I would prefer baytril, broad spectrum antibiotics. I completely disagree with the above mention of nuflor not working. I use it regularly on fuso and it clears it up, draxxin is so narrow for treatment. There is 22+ strains of fuso. Just my opinion. This abscess may blow out on its own, but I always prefer to sedate.
