Buck Fawn discharging bloody mucus

I have a 3 week old buck fawn that I watched discharge the pictured bloody mucus tonight from his rectum.  The mucus is very sticky to the touch and does not appear to contain any stool.  I've never seen this before nor has anyone else I've talked with.  Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

He appears to be acting just fine, running around playing with the other deer.  I watch him feed on mom multiple times a day.

We found a similar stool in one pen, had vet look at what we could find and he found 1 egg in it.  We wormed everything, re vaccinated that pen etc. seemed to clear up

Bright blood like that is usually a small blood vessel that broke and is not an indication of worms or coccidiosis or disease.
