I agree , those are some good looking deer. I here ya. I can't understand that they don't upgrade old inferior genetics. I don't think the desire to make money is a high priority. As I said earlier I use my doe fawns as a bargaining chip when I am buying bucks from those farms. Most times they don't want them and I have to push a bit hard.
We harvested about 50 does on the preserve here last fall and completely started anew with our foundation does. Our genetic has a lot of the same names as yours with a heavier influence on Rolex , matrix , Lakota , Hydro Ax , Noble , Amos , Big Attitude , and recently Bone Collector , Big Cletus , and Sudden Explosion.
We have really made strides with our Mule Deer adding postmortem semen draws for AI from 264" and 251" bucks. The mule deer is the real growth market for our hunt preserve. We are keeping our mule deer herd closed as I enjoy not having a local competitor in that market. The learning curve has been very lengthy.
