Hello to all,

We got our fawn on June 11th of this year.

My question is, when do I wean her from the bottle.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

You can start to wean now. I had one born July 12 and I am weaning him this weekend. He's been at once a day all week. This late in the year, he's better off getting grain than milk, whitetails go through some serious changes as the daylight dwindles and this time of the year they will be pounding the food sources to gain their winter weight.

Thank you! I was a little concerned...she never sucked a bottle, but she would slurp and suck out of a bucket. She would get so excited, she would paw, nudge with her nose like a calf, grunt. If she had a snorkel she would swim in it! The next day she quit! We got Millie the first of Sept. as a seed combine swiped her leg. She seem to be doing good until this. I appreciate the information.

What type of bottle have you tried using and we tend to use a goat nipple bottle and or even a kitten bottle nipple if they are still trying to suck and what the bottle
