Absolutely no offense to any of the people on these forums or the bucks posted. But I see now why this deer forums sight is so dead now. Facebook is where everyone is posting pics. I don't see discussion that educates folks like this site always did. But the pics and promoting sure goes on over at Facebook.




You got that right. Im afraid sites like this and Whitetail Exchange are going by the wayside. Any buck or semen needed can be found on most deer pages and there is even a Semen sales page..

I guess I don't get it.  The "Whitetail Unlimited"  page that I was on was the clubs hunting page.


I did see one post from Russ Beller. If that's the page you are talking bout, it's not the same has looking on here to see


what guys are growing, Why look at a bunch of post of the Whitetail Unlimited's club

You will see about every buck in the industry on those first 2 pages. Really does make this page look sad but there is plenty of room to keep both sites active, Here and Facebook
 
There are too many problems with all these sites.  Great ideas but not supported enough to last.  Then comes drama and redundancy which is also taking over Facebook and making it a turn off as well.


 


I really like that I can still search online for a buck a year and deerforums and find pics of him on here!

True to  point i guess but i dont see facebook going anywhere anytime soon. Whitetail Quest is a gret tool if farmers keep using it but if you go now you find less and less. Wont find but a few of the Texas bucks on there. I am sure someone does not use just this site to pick a breeder they like and over there you will find 1000,s of farmers and just about every buck, new and old. You will even find a bunch of the Amish farmers bucks on those pages.
 
The facebook groups are great, but you can't search back to find anything. To get us back on track, here is an update on my yearling Wicked Tea. I am trying to get some reservations to collect him, if anyone is interested let me know.

First off... I've always loved this site and have always given major props to Russell.  However... I've been trying to tell the people here for the past 3 years that there was a major shift over to FB.  90%+ of the industry is over there... and they have been for a couple years now.

Facebook is fading out where I'm at. I have three girls, and couple years ago they were posting on facebook all the time


I had to have the wife show me how to go on it to see what they were posting.- pics mostly what I wanted to see


Now they don't post much at all. Seems they switched to snap chat. Whats next???  lol

This gets off the topic. But parents BEWARE of snap chat. Kids like it because once a pic or words are sent and seen they disappear. So you parents have no way of screening what info is exchanged.

Don't confuse the two different groups named Whitetails Unlimited

Why someone started a second group named that is beyond me. But if you are on the correct page it is ALL deer farmer people.

I have sent the admin several emails with zero returns concerning this sight and posting classifieds, certainly dose not seem like they want this site to continue
