Thank's for posting this. I missed a few and this really helps me out. Hopefully this will start a standard for all the auctions, you can't always get all the prices.

Man does anyone ever come on here to "CHAT" or is this now a place to come to take a stab at another deer farmer. Let me tell you its getting ridiculous, if anyone wants to know why you have a hard time talking to someone on here just read the back posts. Another thing i have never heard one thing bad about Walks but there sure are a lot of people on here that worry about what they are selling how much they got for it and how they sold it

Thanks for posting results online - I wish all auctioneers did this - It is a great help to us.

Thanks

Bill

I to get upset when one deer farmer feels the need to hammer another. The comment about the Walks is unacceptable.I personally know them to be one of the most helpful, honest and kind deer farmers out there. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't even be in the deer business.Come on guys keep those thoughts to yourself.

I agree also. They were the first farm we went to visit and also the first place we bought a deer from.We showed up with no notice and no place to stay as far as a motel and they put us up in their lodge for the night with no hesitation.Heath even let me help feed the awsome deer the have of coarse i did that for no charge to them.(unreal deer).

I guess its some peoples human nature to bash some people that make it to the top. They truly are good people with a great product.(Deal with it)

1. I've never met the Walk's....probably will never know them well although I hope to meet them someday.

2. I've never bought anything from them.....probably will never be able to afford it.

3. I've never been to their place...probably will never get a chance to go there.

Do I think they are great people? YUP! Anyone that follows the deer business know that they are very giving people. I've followed their charity auctions (they give ALOT), read their posts (they know ALOT), know what their lots go for on auctions and all the things they will help the buyer with (how can you go wrong if you buy from them).

What they did with King Kong was good marketing...good business. Limit what you have and people with pay whatever the price. It's exactly what I would do if I ever had the chance. And I consider myself somewhat of a business woman being my husband and I have run a successful landscaping business together for 17 years. We got almost all of our business last year from our good reputation...referrals from our previous customers. Thank God too cuz it was a terrible year with the economy. Raising deer is the same thing. Get a good reputation, treat your customers right and fair and they will come to you.

A favorite quote from my dad is:

"Treat others as you want to be treated."

My dad is 75 years old and one of the most well respected people where I grew up and I try to live my life like he says.

Susan I hope you do get the chance to meet them, you won't be disappointed. You will find out they are nice people.I can honestly say everyone who I have met in this business has been extremely nice and helpful. That is something this industry can really be proud of and I hope that will continue in the future. With anything though there are some rotten apples in the bunch but you sort through them and move on.

I will simply say it is like any other cross section of people - the majority are great. We have always tried to do business as Susan mentioned - treating people the way we would expect to be treated.

Eric,

It looks like there's a little mishap in the results from 2E22 that carries out through 2E25. I was filling in the ones that I missed in my book and noticed. I'm new to the business and enjoyed being at the sale. Thanks.

My name is clay blevins me and my cousin just started trace country whitetails in ky about a year ago we have already met a lot of very nice people and the Walks are at the top of list we went to the top 30 and the midwest select I. Talked to russ for quiet awhile at the top 30 he was very helpful and did not care to give a new deer farmer some advice

Who won the Mower and MTV 4x4?

I understand Billy was top dog, but does anyone have a listing of who the next breeders in line were?

We usually publish the Top 30 Breeders and the 5 that made next year's sale in the Top 30 select....Just wondering if Midwest has a similar listing?
