Lookin into buying some land. The land has the big TVA Powerlines running thru it. Would this have any efffect on raising deer ???
 
It would if there was an easement on the land!!The company would have to have to do repairs if needed.I would look into it first and if there is an easement,I would look elsewhere!!!! Just my way of thinkin!!
 
Even with out easement they would still have to get in and repair. I would definantly not put any fence near the power lines. If 1 line boke and fell and hit fence it would fry the thing.
 
Another negative as well even if they never had to do repairs I have seen then inspcting these towers from helicopter very low hovering and that could cause total cayoss.
 
Pierce's can tell you all about utility companies - that is how they lost some of their best deer - a guy climbing the fence to check power lines. They have the right to inspect the lines and sometimes trim trees around the lines. The land might be reasonable but that is why.
