Great Lakes doesnt have any, I have checked several times. I think I found a source, I am going to place an order in the next week or two. If everything goes as planned I will hop back on here and let everyone know. It is going to be very hard to come by this year!!!

Yes, PMSG and CIDR. are what is needed for Ai work, You can Google them and see what the above stands for.

R&J Do you have a hookup to get PMSG for this fall?
My vet suggested giving a shot of some pmsg when I put cidr in as well as the one you give when you remove it. It sounds like your saying I do not need the one when I put the cidr in. I need to try something different then last year. my thoughts were iItried to early. I had cidrs in 14 days before pulled ,gave a shot that was supposed to work like fallogen but was more of an all stock product. Bred 56 hours after and had zero out of 6 stick. The cider to me just will delay the heat cycle until you pull it but if I was to early there was no good in that. Moving my ai to nov 15 should cover more of there natural heat cycle I am sure but it still looks like I will have to use that all stock pmsg again. What do you think and thanks for the help

Giving a shot at time of putting in CIDR's is wrong as it would defeat the purpose of keeping the animal from coming in heat. Our deer industry will put in PMSG 200 IU at CIDR removal and breed at 58 to 62 hours. 12 to 14 days with CIDR in is the norm. I use 14 days in on CIDR's myself and 200 IU of folligon. Most PMSG's available in the States will give about 40% conception. You will always have better conception when you work with the natural time of the rut in your area.
We were at 90% on our mule deer this last year but 65 to 70 % in our whitetail.
In my sheep I will give PMSG two days before CIDR removal and another type of PMSG at CIDR removal.
Maybe you should also check the quality of the semen you are using.

Like Jack said Above. No shots when to put in CIDR and 1-11/4cc shot when you pull. Not sure what state you are in but i would move your date up around the 5th thru the 10th range and breed at 58 hours. We are in the far North and will be breeding the end of October to the 3rd of Nov.
