I'm sitting here watching the discovery channell, (Dirtiest Jobs) and Mike is working on a Rein Deer farm that is testing deer to ship to Alabama, how can Reindeer can be shipped into Alabama and whitetails cannot????????

They must be going to a zoo. Whitetails nor exotics can be imported. If they do import them the heat will give them fits. The whitetail is the big issue due to CWD. I don't agree with this but that is the law.

I did not catch what they were going to Alabama for, just cant believe right on TV they were testing Reindeer for TB and Brucc so that they could be shipped to Alabama.

Seems like a double standard to me No Whitetails but Reindeer are OK

We had elk and red deer shipped from canada to texas had to go thur alot of paper work

but they did let us bring them in they all had to be TB and Brucc certified and along with

CWD monitored for 5 years ..hummmm..

Reindeer are considered non-susceptable CWD animals and are considered exotic livestock. That is why they can gop to AL.
