My wife and I had our 7 year anniversary today. We went to dinner tonight and were talking about how we were going to take our honeymoon on our five year anniversary. Well that never happened. So she decided that she wants to do it this next summer. She would like to go somewhere and fish for a week. I know that you’re thinking that I have it rough. She is so high maintenance. Ha ha. So instead of Canada I would like to go somewhere in Minnesota or Wisconsin. I would like to know where I could rent a cabin, and boat on a lake somewhere up there and stay for a week with my wife and daughter. I’m sure some of you have places that you would recommend. Thanks in advance.

I have been to Peshtigo Wisconsin before and it is beautiful there. Peshtigo has alot of history also. The town caught fire the same day as the Chicago fire. It did more damage and killed more people, but never was recognized because Chicago is more popular. Check it out on the internet. We stayed in a cabin that overlooked a big river.

Northeast Wisconsin
Check out places like Crivitz, WI, Eagle River, WI, Minocqua, WI - these are big resort and summer tourist areas with lots of resorts and lakes. Peshtigo is on the Peshtigo river and is just north of Green Bay. You could also try Door county, WI which is the "thumb" of the state and has tons of resorts. One side is on Green Bay and the other is on Lake Michigan. The Green Bay side is more popular and very nice - towns like Fish Creek, Ephriam, Sister Bay and Egg Harbor. Also has a lot of cherry orchards and wines.
