Antlers dropped?

I was wondering if most of you have had your bucks drop their antlers.  It seems to be an odd year.  One preserve I follow has all pretty well lost, another only the larger bucks and a low fence property I manage most of the deer are still holding.  Are they dropping in your area yet?  For reference, I am in Missouri.

I am in West Virginia. Most of the older bucks have dropped, while most of the yearlings are holding on. Years past it has been the opposite. Go figure, we will never figure them out!!

My button bucks dropped first between the 17th and 27th of January.....my 3 year old dropped on the 7th of February .....one yearling dropped on the 18th of Feb and one yearling still hanging on.

Nothing shed antlers here yet. Roughly 90 bucks still hard horned. Years past its around mar 20 when they start and all bald by April 1. New antler growth right behind the shed antler.

Ok , so I lied! Yesterday I was feeding over by one of the yearling pens and saw a good shed over by the feeder , probably 65" very typical. I left it lay cause I was in a hurry to get out fishing. About a half hour later I was coming down the alley and watched. a bald eagle fly towards the river with my shed antler. The eagle has been gathering nest materials all week so I am guessing the nest is nearby . But now I have to find it to get a picture of my antler shed in the nest. One more thing to do! I guess you have never seen it all.

North central . Just a mile west of the Mississippi. Lots of Eagles. We lose a few fawns every year to them , especially the mule deer fawns.

A week ago my neighbor stumbled on a newborn fawn and I saw multiple bucks still holding their antlers.  There is little consistency in my area.  SE Oklahoma.

We have all but 1 dropped and showing new growth but then saw a wild buck over the weekend still with both sides on. Strange year for sure!

Most of ours are still wearing antlers. Probably 1/3 of the yearlings have dropped. None of the mule deer have shed yet

Its amazing the different reports! It truly shows how different these awesome animals truly are. Ive found a few wild antlers with a few bucksstill carrying....while a friend has preserve deer already budding 1/2" or more growth on some of his shed bucks.

Are the Mule deer always the last to drop. Saw 2 different wild bucks with antlers still on. both young bucks.

Hey Four Seasons,

Our mule deer are always last to drop. Another couple weeks at least. New growth is right behind the shed antler. They are usually a month behind in the wild also
