Yes, this was very surprising. Specter was a Washington big wig, so this was a major upset. I would be nervous if I was an incumbent this November, regardless of party.

He was a flip flopper! did anything to keep a job, including screw over the taxpayers!! Good ridence!!

Saw him on TV along with Michelle Bachman from Minnesota. They were both being interviewed on some program and he was just RUDE to her. When she tried to say something he would cut her off and even told her to act like a LADY! Geez - good riddance is right.

So now that he is FINALLY gone, how about Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman on a ticket in 2012. They only have one problem against them, honesty. The problem with Americans now is, we all sit around and gripe about who is in there. If those two ran on a ticket, you would hear nothing but they are not smart enough. When are we going to elect some more politico's with some common sense, which these two have more in their little finger than every Ivy league president in history combined. I wish we could have someone in office that graduated from the school of hard knocks. Maybe if they were in the White House they would have kicked the Mexican President out and sent 12 million with him. What a bunch of idiots we have in Washington and apparently in our country that voted them in. I guess the Democrats have finally gotten enough people on the free money that they no longer have to do anything the actual working people want. They will try amnesty to get 12 million more voters in their corner. If we don't get it done this fall folks, our country is history. If you think I'm wrong just watch. This is the most pivitol moment in American history. Even if we can elect the right people, if something doesn't change we are just prolonging the inevitable.

You could not be more correct! Through entitlements like welfare they have people on a string to get votes. These lazy people are afraid if the democrats are not in control they may not get that hand out anymore. The democrats almost have enough minority votes and welfare votes to control this country. Greece is a prime example of where the hand out system will lead too. They are rioting in the streets at the idea that they may have to actually work for a living.

I would like to see Sarah or Michell run with Oliver North or Newt Gingrich.

If you all don't get out there this November and vote these idiots running our country out of office then get ready for an america we would never imagined a few short years ago. Let's see how things develope in Arizona and most likely many other states about immigration. Forget the word "imigrant' for now. Anyone who steps foot on my property (other than law officers) without permission is trespassing. NOW can you understand?

I don't know why Mexico is complaining about our immigration laws - has anyone read theirs??? Ours are a picnic in comparison. They had them on Fox NEws, Hannity the other other night. They have stuff like you must be in good health - you can't be a burden to the state (no welfare) etc. I can't remember all of them.

Mexico needs to fix there country! We have another border to the north. its called canada!! And you dont see hundreds of people a day crossing to get out! People actually move there, maybe mexico should wake up!
